CLEAR Health Pass App Instructions

    • To streamline the COVID-19 requirements enacted by the city of New Orleans, ALTA has partnered with CLEAR Health Pass.

  • Prior to arriving in New Orleans, please download the CLEAR app, create a profile, and, if applicable, add your vaccination information.
  • In the week before ALTA ONE, ALTA will share a special event code with registered attendees to link their CLEAR Health Pass to the conference. By adding the ALTA ONE code, an attendee will be able to easily and quickly complete the daily health check-in requirements.
  • For unvaccinated attendees, CLEAR Health Pass will provide a full list of available testing sites in your area, in New Orleans, and near the Hilton Riverside New Orleans Hotel. Results from CLEAR’s affiliated testing centers will automatically upload to the attendee’s profile in the app.
  • Please note that attendees’ personal health information will not be shared with ALTA.

Daily Health Check-in Requirements

  • Beginning on Monday, October 11, 2021 through Friday, October 15, 2021 all attendees will be asked to fill out a daily 5 question health survey located in the CLEAR app.
  • Once an attendee has completed the survey, the app will generate a personalized QR code to be scanned at the CLEAR Health Pass Checkpoint located on the 1st floor of the Hilton Riverside New Orleans Hotel near ALTA’s registration desk (HQ Live). Attendees will need to complete the survey each day in order to get a new code. Each code is only valid that day and cannot be reused.
  • After an attendee presents their daily QR code at the CLEAR Health Pass Checkpoint, they will receive a colored sticker to place on their badge signifying that the attendee has been cleared to enter the event space.

Masking Requirements

Currently the State of Louisiana has an indoor mask mandate in effect for all individuals ages 5 and older.

  • Will attendees have to wear masks in the event space? Yes. Masks will be required within the event space.
  • When can attendees remove their masks in the event space? Masks are not required when attendees are actively eating and drinking or presenting during a session.
  • Can I remove my mask in a break out session if others are 6 feet away? No. While the governor’s executive order suggests that masks are not required if an individual maintains social distancing (at least 6 feet between persons), ALTA is asking attendees to wear their masks at all times in the event space.
  • Is any specific mask type, material or filtration level required? No. Attendees may wear any mask that fits comfortably over their nose and mouth and has a complete seal. This includes cloth masks, paper surgical masks, and N95/KN95 masks.  This does not include gaitors or neck bandanas.
  • If an attendee cannot wear a mask, for medical reasons, they will be required to wear a face shield in lieu of a mask. Masks will be available for those who do not have their own.
  • How does the mask mandate work at a bar or music venue in New Orleans? Each venue is responsible for monitoring and adhering to the statewide mask mandate. Per this mandate, masks must be worn at all times except when actively eating or drinking.

Vaccination/Testing Requirements

New Orleans mandates all residents and visitors ages 12 years and older to provide proof of at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine or a negative PCR test within 72 hours to access restaurants, bars, and other indoor event venues.

  • How can I prove my vaccination status?
    • To enter the event space at the Hilton, all vaccinated attendees will need to upload their vaccination information to CLEAR Health Pass. See below for details on how to do this.
    • To enter other venues like bars and restaurants, attendees can show either the original, a digital photograph, or photocopy of CDC Vaccination Card (both sides) or upload their vaccination information to the LA WALLET APP.
  • Will I need to present my vaccination card or negative test when checking into the hotel? No, currently the city’s mandate does not require guests to provide proof of vaccine or negative test to check in to a hotel room.
  • If I am vaccinated will I also need to provide proof of a negative test? No.
  • If an attendee is unvaccinated what testing will be required? Unvaccinated attendees will need to provide proof of a negative PCR test within the previous 72 hours each morning before entering the event space. This will require an unvaccinated attendee to obtain a negative result on a COVID-19 PCR test just before they arrive in New Orleans and depending on their length of stay may require further tests.
  • Will rapid or antigen test results be allowed? No. The city mandate requires a negative PCR test. Attendees will need to factor in any lag time with obtaining the results of a PCR test into their testing schedule.
  • How will attendees share PCR test results to gain entrance to the event space? Attendees will need to upload their testing results to CLEAR Health Pass. CLEAR Health has an affiliation with several of the major testing centers throughout the country, including CVS, Labcorp, and Walgreens. When an attendee selects one of CLEAR’s affiliated testing centers, their results will automatically upload to the attendee’s profile in the app.
  • Will attendees whose negative test results are from more than 72 hours be allowed to  enter the event space while awaiting the results of a new test? No. Attendees will need to factor in any lag time with obtaining the results of a PCR test into their testing schedule. There are two locations in New Orleans currently offering same-day PCR test results: Gulf Coast Labs and Urgent Care.

Physical Distancing Information

  • All seating in the event space will be spaced 3 feet apart and no more than 5 to 6 people will be seated at a 72″ round table.
  • Contactless registration and badge pickup will be available.
  • No group badge pickups will be allowed. Due to the vaccine or negative test requirement, we are unable to allow attendees to pick up badges on behalf of others.
  • ALTA will provide color-coded wrist bands allowing attendees to display their level of comfort for interactions with others.

Hotel Information

  • In 2020, the Hilton Riverside New Orleans Hotel installed a special air cleaning system throughout all of their meeting space. The system takes in the H2O that is in the air and adds in an additional oxygen molecule to form H2O2 (or hydrogen peroxide). The H2O2 is dispersed into the air and settles on soft and hard surfaces to act as a constant disinfectant on these surfaces. This air cleaning technology has been proven and is used in hospitals, “clean rooms” in technology manufacturing and pharmaceutical settings, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will PCR testing be available onsite at ALTA ONE? No, attendees needing proof of a negative test will need to obtain and pay for their own testing. ALTA recommends using a CLEAR affiliated testing site to streamline sharing results.
  • Will vaccines be available onsite at ALTA ONE? However, the City of New Orleans is offering vaccines at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and at other locations throughout the city. The city provides free vaccinations and does not require proof of identification, health insurance, or social security number.
  • If an attendee is unvaccinated when does the 72-hour mark end? When the test was taken or when the results are received? The “time clock” starts ticking at the time the test was administered.
  • Will the restaurants and bars in the hotel recognize my daily health check-in sticker as proof of my vaccination card or negative test? ALTA is awaiting the hotel’s approval for attendees to present their badge and daily health check in sticker to minimize the need to share your vaccination and testing information. Outside venues will have their own verification process.
  • What happens if I am unable to download the CLEAR App? All attendees will still need to answer the daily survey and present either their vaccination card or a negative test to enter the event space. To complete these two steps, please visit the CLEAR Health Pass Checkpoint located on the 1st Floor of the Hilton Riverside New Orleans Hotel.
  • What I am not able to go to an affiliated CLEAR app testing center? All attendees will still need to answer the daily survey and present either their vaccination card or a negative test to enter the event space. To complete these two steps, please visit the CLEAR Health Pass Checkpoint located on the 1st Floor of the Hilton Riverside New Orleans Hotel.

  • What happens if I test positive while attending ALTA ONE? View the Louisiana Department of Health agencies policies here.
  • Can I get a refund if I test positive prior to arriving in New Orleans or while onsite? You will get a full refund upon confirmation of your positive test.
