Pamela Butler O’Brien is Deputy General Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company in Houston, Texas. She also serves in the additional capacity of Chief Litigation Counsel, managing litigation for STGC and its affiliates throughout the United States as well as Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Latin America. In her roles at STGC, Pamela exercises management authority over underwriting, claims, and has corporate governance responsibilities. During her 20-year tenure with STGC, Pamela has successfully handled more than 120 class actions, bellwether trials, and other complex litigation. Pamela brings more than 30 years of experience to her position. During her 38- year career, Pamela has been involved in in-house contract management, and acquisitions and mergers. In addition to her current role, as a private practitioner, Pamela managed and owned title agencies in Massachusetts. Pamela earned a Bachelor of Arts from Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California. She attended Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, where she earned a Juris Doctor in 1983. A Boston native, Pamela is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and Virginia.
