Cheryl Cowherd is Senior Underwriting Counsel and Regional Underwriter for the Central States as well as National Agency Underwriting Counsel for WFG Title Insurance Company. She has been in the title industry for close to 40 years with extensive experience in many aspects of the industry including underwriting, search, examination, and residential and commercial escrow. She has worked as a title agent and multiple national title underwriters.

Cheryl is a member of the American Land Title Association and is the chair of the Education Committee and the Title Counsel Work Group. She is a past president of the Missouri Land Title Association and is a member of the Kansas Land Title Association and on its Education Committee.

Cheryl has taught several continuing education seminars and webinars for multiple state associations as well as the American Land Title Association. These seminars have been approved for continuing education credit in several states.

Cheryl graduated from William Jewell College with a bachelor’s degrees in international relations and international business. She received her juris doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law. She is a licensed attorney in Missouri and a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

Cheryl is an ALTA National Title Professional as well as a Missouri Title Professional and a Kansas Title Professional and the 2016 Missouri Title Person of the Year.
