Rich Halfmann is National Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company where he underwrites commercial title insurance policies for transactions across the country. Prior to joining First American, Rich served as claims counsel and commercial counsel for other national title insurance underwriters. Rich also spent three years in private practice during which time he searched and examined real estate titles and represented buyers, sellers, and lenders in real estate transactions including mortgage foreclosures, REO, sales, purchases, and refinances.

Rich is a graduate of Stonehill College (2005) and Suffolk University Law School (2008). Rich is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and holds title insurance producer licenses in more than twenty states. Rich is a member of the American Land Title Association and North Carolina Land Title Association and is a frequent speaker for commercial real estate topics for agent underwriting and training seminars across the country.

Rich is originally from Massachusetts and currently lives in Davidson, North Carolina with his wife, Lauren, and children, Madeline, Henry, and Claire.
