Room Block Information
Please read this important information about ALTA’s room block policy. All attendees are required to be registered for ALTA Advocacy Summit before being given access to the group’s room block. This policy allows as many attendees as possible the option to stay at the host convention hotel at the group rate. A link to the ALTA room block will be included in your registration confirmation email.
**If you are not registered to attend ALTA Advocacy Summit but book a room within the block, ALTA reserves the right to move your room from the ALTA rate to the current prevailing rate at the hotel.
ALTA Room Rate at the Westin DC Downtown
While rooms are still available at the host hotel, our block has sold out and we are unable to get additional rooms added to the block.
While we do not have a room block with these hotels, other options in the area include the Conrad Washington, DC; Embassy Suite by Hilton, Washington, DC Convention Center; and the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC

Airport Information
Three major airports serve the metropolitan Washington, DC area. The closest airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) which is about 5 miles from the host hotel. Other options include Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI).
Transportation Information
Taxis and ride shares are readily available at all 3 airports.
The DC Metrorail system “The Metro” has six color-coded rail lines: Red, Orange, Blue, Silver, Yellow, and Green. The layout of the system makes it possible to travel between any two stations with no more than a single transfer. The DC Metro opens at 5:00 AM on weekdays and 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. The metro stops running at 12:00 AM (Midnight) on Sunday – Thursday and at 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.
The closest metro stops to the Westin are Mt. Vernon Square 7th St – Convention Center (Green Line) or Metro Center Station (Red, Orange, Blue and Silver Lines) . To plan your trip, click here. As for fare rates they vary from stop to stop and also depend on the time of day.

The current self parking rate is $48.00 overnight. Valet Parking is $60.00 overnight. Both rates are subject to change
