Maribeth Walsh

Maribeth Walsh is a Divisional Underwriting Counsel at First American and a member of First American’s Shared Commercial Underwriting Team. She focuses primarily on national commercial transactions. Prior to joining First American, Maribeth served as a Senior Underwriting Counsel for two New York-based title agencies where she also focused on national commercial transactions. Prior to that, Maribeth held various counsel positions with leading national underwriters. She was also a partner in a mid-size New York law firm and provided consulting services in the financial services space.

Maribeth graduated from the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) with a Bachelor of Arts and received a Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law (Jamaica, NY). Maribeth is a member of the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Land Title Association. She previously served on the Nassau Academy of Law’s Advisory Board and as the Academy’s Treasurer. Maribeth is also a member of ALTA’s Title Counsel and Best Practices Working Groups. She’s has spoken extensively on real estate and title insurance topics.
