Katherine F.L. Vyas is Vice President and Regional Underwriting Counsel at WFG National Title Insurance Company, where she provides legal support and underwriting guidance to title agents in the Central Region. She uses her broad range of experience underwriting a variety of transactions to craft practical solutions to real estate’s most challenging issues. She credits her creative, flexible underwriting style to her time as an attorney in private practice, representing clients in real estate transactions and litigation.

Originally from Michigan, Katherine graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Women’s Studies and went on to earn her J.D. cum laude from Stetson University College of Law, where she was the Research Editor of the Stetson Law Review, a Fellow of the Center for Excellence in Advocacy, and won awards related to academic and social justice excellence, including publication credit.

Katherine strives to be a key resource by focusing on education, collaboration, and building partnerships to develop and grow title agents’ businesses. Katherine has earned her ITP designation from the Illinois Land Title Association, where she serves on the board and participates in several committees. Additionally, she is active in many legal, real estate, and title industry organizations, including Women in Title – Chicago, CREW Chicago, AAREA, IRELA, and ALTA. She is passionate about access, inclusion, and empowerment of persons in the real estate industry.
