AI Meets Cybersecurity: Entering a Wave of Cybercriminal Impostor Chaos the World Has Never Seen
Waterside 1&4AI is everywhere. This session will showcase how cybercriminals have found their “killer app” in AI, techniques that will blow your mind. It will discuss how Left Brain and Right Brain AI together can power-up cybercriminals as well as combat these risks that are here and now.
Rather than repeating the newfound cliché that AI will create incredible propaganda and investment opportunities, in this session, we will provide a futurist (not way in the future but in the future this year) perspective of what the world will look like considering the ability of AI to digitally “clone” you, your supplier, your customer buyer, lawyers, notaries, your client, your mentor, your hero, or your adversary. We will present real-world examples of AI use by the good guys and AI use by the dark side.
The session exposes specific examples gathered through conversation with executives in the Title Insurance sector and across industry of how cybercriminals are today using GenAI and AI clones to stage ransomware, business email compromise invoice and wire funds transfer fraud, multi-party transaction impersonation, supplier and MSP-fraud, staffing fraud and more.

Waiting for Godot: Will Fed Rate Cuts Reignite the Housing Market?

Redacting Public Records: Laws of Unintended Consequences
Waterside 1&4Across the country, state lawmakers are acting to protect the safety of judges, law enforcement, and other potentially at-risk groups by legislating restrictions to open access to government records. Access to government records, like official land records, tax collector’s records, GIS maps and property appraiser data, is no longer guaranteed for our industry. Laws written to shield records from anonymous online access are being crafted with safety in mind, but most of the time, title industry concerns about accessibility are overlooked in the drafting process. Without a thoughtful voice in these discussions, we risk being on the receiving end of unintended consequences of these laws. This roundtable presentation will bring together perspectives from individuals who have been on the front lines of this discussion from various perspectives including law enforcement, a clerk of the official records, and industry professionals for an important conversation you won’t want to miss.

Omni Session – Finding Strength and Conquering Challenges in Tough Times
Waterside 7-12Why is it that some people experience fear and anxiety following stressful events (like living through a pandemic), while others come out of it as a better version of themselves? In her new speech focused on post-traumatic growth (PTG), history-making polar explorer Alison Levine recounts some of the most epic survival stories of all time: from a teenage holocaust survivor who outsmarted the Nazis (who happens to be a family member) to famed Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton—there is much to be learned from those who have survived the unthinkable.
Throughout this moving presentation, Alison uncovers the specific tactics we should use to stack the deck in our favor so that we (and the people around us) experience growth from tough times vs. feeling overwhelmed by stress and doubt. She takes audiences to the most remote, extreme places on the planet and demonstrates how leaders can help people succeed in unpredictable environments and move toward PTG.
The world will always be full of challenges—and whether we choose to rise up or retreat after them will change our destiny.
